Women of the Herd

It’s international women’s day, so hey, let’s celebrate with some dinosaurs, shall we!

I'm slowly making progress on my dinosaur project thingy, and am finally reaching the point where I might have something worth drawing. Yay!

The two most important women of the Herd. Grandmother, the eldest of the tribe, the rememberer of stories and songs, and the progenitor of its people. And the Matriarch, the oldest of their cows, the pathfinder and the center of the tribe’s life.

While usually the hornfaces have simple names referring to their look (Crosshorn, Small Dot, etc.) the Matriarch, upon ascending to the position, will always get a “people name” to signify her importance. The tribe’s current matriarch is called Dancing Shade.
