Meeting a turtle

Description

I got a drawing suggestion of Singing People interacting with a turtle, and after doing some research, there was apparently pretty darn big turtles in the shallow seaway splitting North America in late Cretaceous.

Two Feathers’ family doesn’t visit the seashores too often, but sometimes their paths do take them close enough that a little detour is worth it. Specially during the seasons when turtles and dragons (pterosaurs) lay their eggs in the sandy shores. Everybody loves them tasty eggs!

Looks like they have spotted a big one crawling onto sand to lay its eggs and decided to follow it. This was probably Spring Brook’s first time seeing one too!

(Ugh, categories are hard. Is this fantasy? Animals? Anthro?? I mean they're real life dinosaurs, but with sentience and neolithic culture and stuff but... Where should I put them?)

Suggested category: Speculative Evolution (SpecEvo).

This is a serious, scientific take on a scenerio that could have occurred on earth in an alternate timeline.

In addition to alternate dinosaur evolutionary paths, SpecEvo also deals with the future of life on earth, as well as life on other planets.
