Ooooooooo, dA has new link displaying system. Cool!

Anyway. I should be writing my school thesis. Instead I'm avoiding my responsibilities by drawing Wurr. I wasn't really supposed to draw before I got the thesis paper done further, but... Umh... Oh look, a pencil!

The dogs don't really have a written language, but they have a system to mark down different codes that can be howled by tying knots on leather strings. I kind of wanted to create a code/knot alphabet to use for this, but I didn't have time to think one up for this one single page (as the southern dogs use different code than the local dogs) so unfortunately I just drew some gibberish for Soo to read here.

Also a teeny shoutout to my brainstorm buddy who's fingers pose as the model for that bottom left panel.

Wurr stuff © me stuff.

Yes, another review of the webcomic, Wurr.
So far, I have seen nothing but improvement in this series, the perspective, shading, linework and even facial expressions on the dogs have improved greatly since the beginning, but that's not surprising though, considering the sheer number of pages.

Anyway, the developments in the story have really intrigued me and thanks to this particular page, I am deeply fascinated by the dogs' message coding, which I believe is inspired from the ancient Inca messaging system.
However, I find it slightly unsettling that the dogs are able to bend their toes in such an unnatural way to use their paws as hands. Considering the general style of the comic, it doesn't fit terribly well.
Nonetheless, it is still very cleverly thought out, and considering that the world that the story is set, where dogs and wolves are the dominant species, there is bound to be some artistic licence with regards to how the creatures in this universe have evolved to allow them to be the dominant species.

Overall, this is still the best webcomic I have seen yet. Intelligent plot, endearing characters, and a semi-realism art style that helps to bring the characters, dogs, wolves and hellhounds alike, to life.
