Hi peeps! Sorry for not being online for the last week pretty much at all, I'm still visiting my family with very, very limited access to the inturwebs. I was originally supposed to get back to my apartment yesterday, but plans got changed and I'll loaf around here being lazy ass for a while longer. I did manage to bust my way to my brother's computer earlier today, though, and got access to the sweetness of Photoshop, so here! have a page!

Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes everyone! I'll get back to them better later when I get back to Lahti. I'm using my mom's mini laptop right now and this takes four minutes to load a page (seriously!) so I'll really get back to business when I can give it all the attention it deserves. Thanks so much, everyone!

Gee, having my birthday actually marks the closeness of another anniversary as well. The first page of Wurr was uploaded online 27th July five years ago. Gosh, it's been a while! I must think up something to commemorate the half decade journey with the monster mutts.

Wurr stuff (c) me stuff.

Passed the last hour reading "Wurr". That comment on that tumblr (which I found by accident, before anyone bashes me) was right: it *is* the best wolf comic ongoing, maybe along with "Off-white".

Your hounds are exquisite - all those "deformities" are perfectly fitting and you never miss any while drawing (which is common when you draw a comic with complex designs). Also, you have a great knowledge on canid anatomy and that makes the deformities look realistic - I like Morri especially, with those aracnid legs and hunched back. Also, many design points for the memory/thoughts style of drawing, in which the character "evolves" from that cavepainting form you stablished in the beggining to the real form. Very intelligent and cinematographic - and probably the first time I see it in a comic.

Of course, the characters are just charming. I like each one of them. It's usually hard for an artst to develop a whole bunch of characters that start a quest together, but all of six Wurr have their own quirks and character very well determined. Again, I especially like Morri but they're all great. Details - like Iacar's lisp or Morri's size - make them more believable and not simply perfect and strong and yadda yadda esteriotipical.

The story is also well planned and interesting. You've organized them in a way each arch has its own problems and superations, rather than throwing the greatest enemies all at once at us. That, united with a strong team of leading and supporting characters (God, Soo's tracker "I'm not a wolf!" amazes me - just that detail gives him so much life!), is what graps readers' attention. You also explain each part with very detail, but not falling into the mistake of writing a wall of text, preferring to break the explanation in many pages - it's harder for you, but a better experience for the readers. That makes the story flow and develop the characters very well.

And of course, I haven't mantioned the art! My only complaint is the lack of coloured pages. There absolutely no need for them in all the work, because you master the pencils, not to mention luminosity (one of my favorite panels is when Riega - is it a female or a male? - and the others are going outside the cave) and the aesthetics is awesome; but the last page of the firts part, for example, with the sky... and maybe some introduction/critical pages, could be coloured to increase dramaticity. Nevertheless the style is fitting and what you might lack in anatomical and background detail you compensate many times more with the story and characters' charisma.

Keep on going, Pearl. You can brag around you have a new fan.
