Description

I'm making progress with my thesis! Whoot!

Next up, faking feathers textures. Good bye, nerves, it was nice knowing you.

Cinema 4D. (I got offered a free computer at school to be at my disposal, so my plans to use Blender got changed into Cinema, as this program is fresher in my memory than Blender is, and it was faster to get used to again.)

(Looking at it now, dang, my dinosaur is a bit skinny. Gotta fatten her up a bit!)

Modelled after ScottHartman's skeletal.

Very nice! As someone who meshes myself, I can recognize a well constructed model pretty easily. I am not noting any errors in the actual way you built it, you correctly aligned the limbs and jaw to be rigged and animated in future, a lot of people overlook that and will build the model incorrectly. My only issue with this seems to be the tail, the anatomy of the raptor all seem consistent, but then the tail from the side profiles doesn't seem to be wide enough to serve as the counter weight that it's meant to be. Perhaps make its tail a bit wider as far as right and left view go? And I am going to assume that you are planning to make the teeth/tongue at one point or another, if you didn't already plan to I recommend having the inner mouth components a separate object. Overall, this is meshed wonderfully and I can see your well on the road to a completely meshed, textured, rigged and animated model with no hiccups in the process at this stage. Great job indeed!
