Description

Also known as "the Breast Cancer Fairy".

As I said in my latest journal some time ago, I've been thinking a lot about beauty lately. And -knowing my own way of thinking- I wanted to shake it a bit. Sometimes I just love breaking stereotypes, and I've been eyeing advertisments and TV commercials a lot lately. What do you usually see in them? Short people? Old people? Fat people? Have you actually seen at least any single scar in them? No. All you see there, is young women (or men, dependind what they are advertising, but this time I stick with females) who look like plastic dolls. "Perfect" models. No fat, no fur, no life. And, of course, two, pretty and preferably big boobs. Is that the ideal beauty? Mostly, it seems.

Breast cancer is the most usual type of cancer amongst female population in this world, so I guess it's the same thing with other worlds as well. In this world women might lose their boobs because of it, but I personally have never seen anyone who would not hide their booblessness (pretty funny word to say, by the way. Booblessness). I think that it would be great someday to see a fashion-/clothing designer who would use it.

At least this fairy girl here, who apparently has gone through the cancer. She had it, she survived it, AND she's proud of it! Even though that it seems that in her world plastic surgery isn't the strongest part of medical science, she is a survivor. She beat it, why should she be ashamed of it? ^^

I seriously need more prectise with scenery and landscapes...
Oh, and if you want to see the sketch of this, it's here: [link]
This was the first time ever when I transferred the linework from the sketch to the green paper with graphite paper.

Oh, and I love comments. ^^ Thank yous!
