So there was a bunch of 14-15 year old dudes that I walked by, and I suddenly became aware that I probably have readers that are half my age who have never seen the time before pokemon.
For the record, I've been a pokemon fan since the first episode of the anime aired in Finland for the first time.
That was in 1999.
I was twelve.

I got into it maybe around '96 Or '97. Don't recall if we saw the anime or had Blue version first, but I suspect the former, as I do recall naming the character Ash in one playthrough.
