Whoops, I missed one of the inktober thingies. This was prompted by the question of what's the worst accident that's happened in Simon's zoo.
Well, not sure if it’s THE worst accident, but this one’s sure up there. Measuring anesthetic for magical creatures can be tricky business. The gaja-vyala are mostly pretty chill creatures, but there’s always potential for disaster if you’re not careful with them. Uula got a pretty impressive scar from the ordeal, and Rivers has a patch of deformed scales and a kink in her tail to remember the incident by.
(Uula’s arm scars are from a harpy, who slipped while perching on her while being trained, by the way. If Rivers has more scars, I’m pretty sure they’re hidden beneath scales.)
