Naga! 8)

I have loved nagas ever since I first found out about them, and that means years. But still I haven't really got done even one single finished drawing of them, although I do have naga character, Shaptlala. I was originally going to draw him, but this guy didn't end up looking like him, so this became a new character. ~Cecnac had the honor of naming him (thanks, Moira!). So, may I introduce you to my brand new naga character, Ésmir. There isn't any more information about him, yet, except that he is related to Shaptlala, who he likes to call Lala. ("Lala" himself hates that name. After all, he is a ritual warrior of a high rank, and a feminine pet name really doesn't sound too good in his ears.)

I'm going to plan some story for them in the future. One Finnish publisher, Otava is holding a manga drawing competition and I thought about joining it. The lenght and subject of the story are free and I thought that it would be interesting to try out. There's five months deadline so I might be able to actually get it finished. Hee, nagas!
-And this is once again good example, that I should never say never when it comes to my drawing. I've said I'd never try to color completely black characters, and I've done that. Then I decided never to do it again, and I did it. I've also said that I'd never draw manga, but now I'm planning one. Ah, well... You don't still have to fear that I would adopt manga noses to my style. I don't mind seeing those, but I can't tolerate myself drawing them.
