@00:38The foot seemed a little lifeless to me here and I couldn't figure out why. Then I realized it's because the toes move puppet-like in connection with the foot. If you spread the toes and give them a little life of their own, it might look a little perkier. I guess if you were pawing at a ball with your hand, you would move your fingers outwards and not just up and down like hinges.

@00:34I love how playful you made this version. His little head drooping then all of his feathers suddenly twitch as he jolts.

The twitch you added to his toe when he is standing still, but I love most how he plays with the ball with his feet before picking it up.

Nice addition with the feathers. I'm guessing his muzzle would have lost some feathers over time since he would stick his mouth into a carcass face first. Or is that just him loosing his "youngling feathers".

@00:39my budgies would have glanced at the incoming ball with their face to the side and tilted half downwards (for better looking at it)
and probably they would be a bit backing away or nervous ;)

My thesis dinosaur is hereby done. My brain ceased to work properly and left me speechless. AAaaaaaaaaaahh!

The written portion of my thesis isn't even properly started, but dangit! I'm glad not having to tweak this any longer. I survived.

This is low quality render, though. The full quality made DA cough.

Made with Cinema 4D.

Oh, hey, look! It works!

eeeee- it looks great! although i will say that the face it makes at the end is sort of creepy... it'd be amazing if you did an einiosaurus render...

Omg YES YES YES. We need more bird-like theropod animations. This is exactly how I would imagine a Troodon to be in real life! Amazing work.

probably one of the best troodon reconstructions I've seen actually. good job at making him look actually realistic, without too many over the top markings and what not. truly, awesome work. :)
